STM – Week of October 4, 2010

If you read the previous post already, then you know what this post is all about, and you know what STM stands for. Please proceed.

If not, please read it here first. Then come back and you’ll also be ‘in the know.’ And I’ll stop making fun of you.

STM for the week of October 4, 2010:

O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1

  1. I strengthen my prayer life and memorize Scriptures by praying Scriptures e.g.
No weapon formed against me shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) because He frustrates the devices of the crafty so that their hands are unable to carry out their plans. (Job 5:12)

    • I totally agree with the necessity of memorizing Scripture, but I’m just so bad at the self-discipline it takes to do it. I probably need to tie it to something I am sure to remember, like University of Texas football stats… Running back D.J. Monroe ran 5 times for 12 yards, and did a great job… Job 5:12…No weapon formed against me shall prosper… I think it’s already working!

Seriously, though, I need to get better…

      • Actually, I just saw that Job 5:12 was not “No weapon formed against me shall prosper” – it’s “He frustrates the devices of the craft so that their hands are unable to carry out their plans.” See, I really need to get better…
